Weekly Club Update

A REMINDER FOR the highly anticipated, eagerly awaited club BBQ that is coming up in 2 weeks time at Riley Park. On August 3rd we will look forward to seeing you all for some sun, fun and burger buns. Please RSVP to the email so we can cater for numbers, make sure we have all the games for entertainment ready and are aware of any special dietary requirements. Our chefs have been practicing over the summer so far, and they're not too bad at all!

OUR JUNIOR PROGRAM is getting back underway soon and after the huge success of the spring program, this summer one is sure to be a fantastic opportunity. Don't let your kids be the ones who missed out and who knows, we may be training up a future club legend!

THE GLENMORE GOLF DAY is scheduled for September 3rd. If you play golf (or even if you dont!) then this is a great day out on the course with friends, families, colleagues and fellow Glenmore members. This is an important fund raiser for our club as well as some really good fun, nothing too competitive and the perfect way to get some fresh air and stretch your legs, or drive the golf buggy. Please reply to the email you will have received about this and feel free to get anyone you know involved too. All details in the Golf Day emails.

A WEEKNIGHT CLASSIC took place at Riley Park on Friday evening as Royals and Tavs faced off in a battle to get to the BBQ first! Royals batted first with some big shots from Dan Meikle(25) and Azariah Arvind(34*) taking the total to 104 all out, after Chris Williams' bowling devastated the top order taking his 4-15. A slow start from Tavs' openers taking the shine off the new ball set up the innings for a brilliantly-close finale in the last over after Matt Chilvers (25) and Dan Paul (35*) posted runs and saw Tavs victory by 5 wickets. Chris Williams and Dan Miekle each receiving their team's player of the match awards. SCORECARD HERE

OUR 2ND XI continued their run of fine form on Saturday with a 150 run victory over Ahmadiyya II. Adil Amin player of the match with his 70 from 70 balls contributing to the team total of 205. Before the opposition were reduced to just 55 from 13.3 overs.  SCORECARD HERE

THE T20 1ST XI took it to the wire last Saturday after setting a target for CCA of 146 to win with Ankush Jain playing a fine knock of 62*. It wasn't quite enough to secure the win as CCA brought it home with 4 balls to spare winning by 6 wickets. SCORECARD HERE

ON SUNDAY the 1st XI played again this time in the 50 over format against Zalmi Lions. Zalmi batted first scoring 271 from their 50 overs, which was too much for a Glenmore victory despite a solid captain's effort from Anjan Singh who battled through 79 balls to top score with a respectable 42. Final result Zalmi win by 126 runs. SCORECARD HERE

THE BLUES WERE IN ACTION on Monday night at Westwinds against Shaheen. Putting them in to bat saw a great bowling effort all round with them being bowled out for just 63, Srinivas Gopal Krishna being the pick of the bowlers with astounding T20 figures of 4-1-7-3 and picking up player of the match in the process. In reply the Blues saw it off in just over 12 overs to claim a well deserved win by 5 wickets. SCORECARD HERE
