If you're looking for a fun, new team building event for your business/company here in Calgary, why not give cricket a try?! This globally popular team sport is growing quickly in Canada, but most locals have never seen a game let alone tried to play. This makes cricket a perfect vehicle for an enjoyable, productive team building event. Participants will be learning something new, and hopefully having a lot of laughs in the process.
Glenmore Cricket Club is Calgary's most diverse, sociable and community based cricket club. We have over 100 playing members (from 12 different nations), and run the only junior cricket program in town. Our aim is to offer cricket to as many people as possible, no matter their age or ability. We want to spread the word of cricket throughout Calgary, and show people what a great sport it is.
We have previously run three corporate cricket events (for Husky Energy, Talisman Energy and AON Insurance), all of which have been hugely successful and well received. We look forward to doing many more.

WHAT WE OFFER
- Coaches to demonstrate, explain and instruct the various facets of cricket
- Cricket equipment. Because we're working with beginners we use plastic bats and tennis balls, but we'll have proper equipment on hand to inspect (and use if anyone wishes to try).
- Fun in the sun! Our main priority on the day will be to make the event as much fun as possible, giving everybody the opportunity to try a new sport. Hopefully a day in the sunshine is better than one in the office!
- Riley Park. Our previous events have been held at Riley Park, which is the best and most centrally located cricket field in Calgary. We would also have access to the pavilion, which has kitchen facilities.
- Numbers. Can cater to groups of between 15-35 people, men & women, young & old.
- Duration. Events between 3-4 hours in duration.
- Proposed Schedule;
- Brief introduction about the sport
- Demonstration / practice of the basic cricket skills (batting, bowling and fielding)
- A fun game involving all participants
