Match report With 3 days notice from the league, both teams had a made scramble to get 11 players, with neither Captain able to play and the Tavs only getting 10, which they may use as an excuse for the loss.
Royals won the toss and chose to bat and with a strong opening partnership between new member Manoj Reddy and recent convert PJ, looked to be in a good postion...but apart from another new member, Arvind, retiring on 31, mid/lower order struggled against some good bowling and set a target of 119 with very few runs being added for the last 3 overs.
The Tavs did not start as strong, losing opener Biiju cheaply, but Ian seemed to be in the mode and injury free, scoring his 1st (?) retired score (32), ably supported by Terry (retired on 30), things were in Tavs favour to chase down the 119, but some fanasticly accurate bowling at the depth from Adarsha, Arvind and Tarun slowed down the run rate and at the end Tavs fell just 4 runs short of the Royals total.
