Glenmore Cricket Club News story

2016 Club AGM

03 Nov 2016

Thanks to everyone who came out last night to attend the 2016 Glenmore CC Annual General Meeting. Our members must be reasonably happy with how things are going with the club as the vast majority chose not to come, and those who were in attendance barely uttered a word of complaint.

Minutes for the meeting will be circulated in the coming week or two. The general feeling is that the club is in good health and is continuing to grow and develop. Financially we are secure and able to invest some money into some worthwhile ventures (potentially getting some coaching qualifications organised). Our membership has continued to grow in the past 12 months, both in terms of senior and junior members.

Perhaps the biggest point from the evening was that we need more of our members to take an active role in the running of the club.We will be outlining different tasks and duties that need to be completed, and asking for volunteers to help with those.

The elections for the club Executive Committee went off without any mud-slinging, controversy or FBI investigations. The results of the elections were;

President - Alex Storey

Vice President - Ryan Jenkinson

Secretary - Heather Moran

Treasurer - Ken Beaumont

Junior Coordinator - Jody Honywood

Social Secretary - Rebecca Wolstenholme

Congratulations to those individuals, and we thank them in advance for all their time and effort in helping make Glenmore CC as strong a club as possible.

Thank you to BJ Wolstenholme for his fantastic service on the club executive. BJ has been a terrific Vice-President for the past four years, and we are all very grateful for his commitment to the club.
