Match report Glenmore C.C. Blues faced off against the Royals in our Rnd7 clash at Riley Park. After winning the toss and electing to bowl, the Royals batted first, posting a target of 108/6 and fine batting performances from Dan Meikle (25*) and Jawwad Qureshi (27*) which steadied the ship. On the Blues counter attack, Nathan Kerin turned in a great bowling effort of 4/15 from 3overs when he had to retire due to the maximum of 4 wickets allowed in weeknight rules.

As the Royals took to the field, Blues took to the BBQ. For the opening pair, the smell of cooking meat was too much to handle as Jason Funnell tested the catching abilities of Jawwad Qureshi who took one of the most spectacular catches we've all seen this season, snatching it behind him, one footed, and balancing on the boundary! Reece Trevillion fired a quick 30*, Damian Britt also retiring on 30*, with the heavy hitters gone, Royal's spirits lifted, until Amith Herath sealed the victory for the Blues with an astounding 24* from 7 balls, he was clearly eager to get back for more of that fine grilling at the club house!

The Born Colorado Brewing sponsored man of the match went to Nathan Kerin for his excellent bowling and solid batting to help see Blues over the line at the end.
