Match report Cavs II won th toss and put Glenmore II into bat, Openers A/Bhatt and T.Pasternal were able to score 18 before A/Bhatt was bowled when playing a full swing across the line of the ball. .T. Pasternaks wiicket fell at 30. M. Young on his debut, played some good defensive strokes and looked potentially useful, with more games under his belt. His 9 off 22 balls in 47 minutes does not reflect on his sensibile Ininngs, accompanied by a very patient C.McIntyre put on a useful partnership of 30 until a suspect decision of LBW was given against Young. McIntyre only scored 3 runs off his first 21 balls, but held his end Whislt the wickets of Marwaha. Gupta, fell within 15 runs and only 4 overs (75 for 5 off 17.2 overs Farleys wicket fell at 83, and Q.Khidri joined Mcintyre at the wicket. He immediately opened up against the attack as did a more subdued McIntyre. Khidri hit 46 off 29 balls incl 2 sixes and 7 fours. the two put on a partnership of 69 in 7 overs before a hestitant shot by Khidri resulted in a catch by Raj(Skipper of Cavs' II. McINtyre continued to palay sensibly scoring singles where jhe could, but J.Singh's wicket fell in the saem over, quickly followed by McIntyre and V.Singh. the last 4 wickets haven fallen for only 4 runs. V.Singh opened the bowling for Glenmore his first over. He had great difficulty against the left hganded openener and bowled 5 wides, conceding 12 runs in his first over. V Marwaha bowled very short, and Cavs hit 21 off his first over. V. Singh's second over only conceeded 4 runs, as did Marwaha's second over. HOwever V.Singh's thrid over was very irratic, again bowling wides to the left hander, and bowling short. He conceeded another 13 runs
The Umpires, against the wishes of the Captains(And League rules, decided to have a 10 minute interval between innings, so only 5 overs were bowled before they called time for lunch. AS lunch was being taken, the rains fell, and after over 1 hour of heavy rain the match was abandoned.
