Match report Anil Joshi substituted on the field for Bhatt due pregnancy!. Joshi kept wicket and took 1 catch. (permission from the opposing capt and umpires- due to extraneous circumstances)
Luckily we gained 48 extras from some very poor Star XI bowling. Three of our four opening batsmen thru away their wickets easily. In Khidri's case he was run out by a new batsman due to not calling to each other. Tail end batsmen also thru away their wickets due to impatience. We were all out off 32 overs. Steady batting by McIntyre, and a true dogged captain's innings by Hircock helped postphone the agony,

Great bowling by McIntyre, a superb catch by Zaidi and tight fielding helped Glenmore II redeem itself somewhat, provide a little credibility and make the result look closer than it really should have been. A second spinner in our side might have perhaps stolen victory away from Star Xi as they seemed unable to play the slower ball. An encouraging bowling spell by young V. Singh also contributed to our competitiveness,
In summation, both opening bowlers need to control their line & length, rather than speed. In addition, considerable improvement in the early batting department is needed to avoid any possible future humiliation.
