Glenmore Cricket Club Lost Colts won by 3 wickets

Match report Taverners won the toss and chose to bat. Thanks to Colts for loaning us 4 spare players.
After a disastrous start and being 5 wickets down for 11 runs, a solid 30 not out by Rudi batting at #7, ably supported by 15 runs from Gavan Anand (a sub from Colts) saved the day and increased the score to 58 before the 6th wicket fell, a further supporting 20 not out by R.Maninder( another sub from Colts) helped Taverners reach 119 runs and save face. Taverners stalwarts were showing the fact that age and lack of practice shows on such occasions. Colts player Daniyal took 4 wickets for 16 runs, supported by Sarawa with 2 for 9
Taverners first over of bowling by Gavin Anand (sub) conceded 15 runs(13 wides), this was quickly rectified by Arthur in his first over with a quick 2 wickets fpr 4 runs. Gavin quickly recovered from his bad start and only conceded 5 runs in his second over, followed by 2 wickets for 2 runs in his third.
A superb stand by Islam 31 (retired) and Daniyal of 24, put Colts on the road to victory and they reached their target with 3 wickets in hand. Mike's tail end bowling of 2 overs 2 for 22 couldn't stop the loss, Unfortunately with Colts needing 12 runs off the last over, he couldn't prevent their victory.

In this game youth definitely conquered experience and lots of 'rust'
