Quiz Night raises $400 and is a huge success

29 May 2014

The third GCC Quiz Night took place at Swans of Inglewood on Saturday, and once again proved to be a big hit. Club members brought friends and family out to join in the fun, and together we packed the place out! There was standing room only as quiz master Pasternak read out the questions.
The team consisting of the Smiths, Hope-Johnstone's and Mr & Mrs Hugh Evans took an early lead, but for the second time in two days Jon Smith was part of a team who had victory snatched from his grasp. The team of Chris Williams, Matt Honywood and their other halves struggled to get going and were sadly stuck in last place from the first round to the very end.
The unlikely winners proved to be a team of non-members. Friends of Mitchell Gardiner rocked up and took the triumph.
The most important thing was the money raised from the event. $400 was raised, which will be used for our kids cricket program this summer.
Huge thanks to everyone who attended. Your participation and support is massively appreciated. And big thanks to Tony and Rebecca for organising the whole night.
We'll try to arrange another Quiz night at the end of the season, so watch this space.
