Hi Glenmore!

We hope you’re all doing well and ready to kick off the New Year with our Winter Net sessions. Below are the updated details and protocols for this season:

Venue & Address
We’re delighted to return to the Calgary Cricket Centre (CCC), a dedicated cricket facility that offers ample space for full run-ups and specialized cricket training.

Session Details
Sessions will run every Sunday until the end of April with two 90-minute slots:
• Session 1: 18:00 – 19:30
• Session 2: 19:30 – 21:00

This season, we’ll operate two nets per session and accommodate up to 14 players in each. Batting orders will be set in advance, and designated session leads will manage attendance and rotation to ensure fair time for everyone. If you’d like to come along for just a bowl then please shoot us a message beforehand to ensure we can safely accommodate this.

Ramadan Adjustment
During Ramadan, where attendance has understandably been lower, we’ll consolidate to one two-hour session from 18:00 – 20:00. Rotation and capacity will continue to be managed via the weekly selection email.

Pricing
CCC offered us special rates last year as they established themselves. While we’ve negotiated with them again, prime winter slots mean the cost will be increasing to $15 per session this year.

Attendance & Availability
Please mark your availability on the club website (top left of the homepage) at least 72 hours before Sunday. Priority will be given to members who haven’t attended recently, followed by those with consecutive attendances. If a session is full, we’ll maintain a waitlist and confirm openings by email.

To address late cancellations and no-shows, we’re introducing a policy this year: cancellations within 24 hours of nets or no-shows will be charged.

Payments
Send an Interac e-transfer to glenmorecc@gmail.com. Include your name and “Winter Nets – [Session Date & Time]” in the message for quick reconciliation.

New Faces
If you know anyone interested in joining, please email the Exec team so we can reach out and include them where space allows. 

Socializing
CCC does not have an on-site bar or restaurant service, but there are several pubs and restaurants within a five-minute drive for post-nets catch-ups.

First Session
Our first session will be on Sunday, January 4, 2026. Please update your availability on the website so we can plan accurately.
