Our annual Summer BBQ on Saturday afternoon was another big success, with beautiful weather eventually arriving after a brief storm whipped up just as the event was due to start. As always, it was fantastic to see so many members in attendance with their families. Plenty of kids were running around, playing ladder toss, having a ball. 

The food this year was better than ever! A huge thank you to Tasty Indian Cuisine who supplied three magnificent curries for us. Club legend Wasim Naqshbandi once again brought along his fabulous tandoori chicken and spent the afternoon manning the BBQ cooking it up. While Quinton North and Terry McGrath did a tremendous job cooking the burgers and mystery South African meat! A huge thanks to these guys, as well as Aman Jaswal and Rashpal Jaswal for producing such a delicious array of food.

The raffle was extremely well supported again this and a big thanks to everyone who bought tickets. Keith Baldock took home the big prize, a new Phoenix Slugger bat (kindly donated by Sohail Abdullah at AA Sports). Rich Harvey won the Phoenix batting gloves, also donated by AA Sports while Raman Dhillon picked up the CA cricket shoes which were generously donated by Kinetic Sports. And thanks as always to Jonathan Bray at Secret Spirits for donating a lovely bottle of booze, which is now in Terry McGrath's drinks cabinet!
