Glenmore CC wins 'Most Sportsmanlike Club' award

11 Dec 2015

Glenmore CC once again won the 'Most Sportsmanlike Club' award at the annual C&DCL awards ceremony on Sunday. This is the most important award of the night and is a great achievement for everyone involved with Glenmore. It is testament to the attitude we promote both on and off the field, to play hard but in a fair and friendly manner at all times.
Huge thanks to everyone at the club for helping us maintain these high standards.Hopefully we will continue to raise the bar every year, and our dedication to play the game in the right way will have a positive impact on the cricket community as a whole.

There were also individual awards for some excellent Glenmore performances in 2015. Mark Turner deservedly picked up the award for the Best Batsman in Division 1 for his 479 runs at an average of 95, while Alex Storey claimed the Div 1 wicketkeeping award for his 19 catches. There were trophies for Suki Ghotra, Reagan Nel, Dan Brennan, Farid Iqbal and Jaideep Singh for their five-wicket hauls. And Iqbal Sandhu picked up a trophy for his amazing hundred for the T20 team at Riley Park. Congratulations to all the award winners.
