Many congratulations to our Glenmore Taverners for successfully making it to the Weeknight League final for the first time ever!

The Tavs maintained their 100% record with a thrilling victory over Panthers on Monday evening. Set a daunting 153 to win, the Tavs batting order fired like never before to chase down the target with 3 balls remaining. Martyn Challoner (29) and Alex Storey (31*) set the tone with a lively opening partnership of 65 in 7 overs. It was then over to captain Terry McGrath (35*) and Quinton North (30*) to really tale the game away from Panthers. They repeatedly found the boundary to bring an unlikely victory within sight. In the end it was left to Iain Chapman and Jason Bell to scamper the last few runs to secure a memorable win.
